Erica de Waal

In 2007, owner Erica de Waal began envisioning Lief after the arrival of her beloved son Hudson. Erica followed her passion to have a boutique where she could provide a serene environment and fulfill her ambition to enhance the natural beauty in each individual.

Born in the Netherlands, Erica was a young teen when she moved to the U.S. and soon thereafter began working at a local hair salon. Possessing a keen eye for precision, and a willingness to learn, Erica's innate talents began to flourish.

After attending school for Cosmetology, she apprenticed and soon became a Master Stylist and Lead Hair & Makeup Artist for weddings, special events and photo shoots.

In 2018 she celebrated her 10th year in business as the proud owner of Lief Beauty Boutique. Along the way she has expanded and designed a beautifully unique space, started her own Lief Cosmetic line and built a talented, friendly and professional dream team to pamper and educate their clientele.

Erica warmheartedly provides an attentive one-on-one beauty experience, starting with a thorough consultation, specializing in creating natural, rich hair color, impeccable haircuts, intricate hairstyles and beautiful makeup application. Once just a vision, Lief has become her sweet reality. Erica is extremely grateful to her clients for their continued support and loyalty.

Michelle Morales

Michelle's passion and dedication is rooted in beauty and the arts. Michelle was born and raised in New York. While attending the School of Visual Arts for Photography, she freelanced as a makeup artist and her love for the beauty industry began.

Later, she trained in Brazil in the field of waxing and threading and became a Nail Technician after attending Parisian Beauty Academy in New Jersey.

Sessions with Michelle range from calming to informative and are always a good laugh. Although Michelle is here to pamper you, her primary focus is always on maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and professionalism.

Michelle looks forward to helping guide new and existing clients to achieve their beauty and health goals in and out of the salon.
