Erica de Waal

In 2007, owner Erica de Waal began envisioning Lief after the arrival of her beloved son Hudson. Erica followed her passion to have a boutique where she could provide a serene environment and fulfill her ambition to enhance the natural beauty in each individual.

Born in the Netherlands, Erica was a young teen when she moved to the U.S. and soon thereafter began working at a local hair salon. Possessing a keen eye for precision, and a willingness to learn, Erica's innate talents began to flourish.

After attending school for Cosmetology, she apprenticed and soon became a Master Stylist and Lead Hair & Makeup Artist for weddings, special events and photo shoots.

In 2023 she celebrated her 15th year in business as the proud owner of Lief Beauty Boutique. Along the way she has expanded and designed a beautifully unique space, started her own Lief Cosmetics line and built a talented, friendly and professional dream team to pamper and educate their clientele.

Erica warmheartedly provides an attentive one-on-one beauty experience, starting with a thorough consultation, specializing in creating natural, rich hair color, impeccable haircuts, intricate hairstyles and beautiful makeup application. Once just a vision, Lief has become her sweet reality. Erica is extremely grateful to her clients for their continued support and loyalty.
